Whether you want to call it documentary wedding photography, reportage wedding photography or wedding photojournalism, it all amounts to the same thing: no faked fun, no staged moments and no AI! Just your story told with honesty, compassion, humour, and beauty. Every image in my portfolio has been taken at a real wedding with real couples: no styled shoots, no workshops, no models.
My work focuses on the story of the wedding, capturing the spirit of the day, balancing humanity with humour. I don’t rely on clever compositions, camera trickery or fancy editing. My images have a realness to them in terms of the compositions, the content and the editing. The WOW factor comes from my observational documentary style, the perceptive framing, and the authenticity of the moments.

Wedding Photography with Humour, Life, and Originality
I have been a wedding photographer for over 16 years, and in that time have won numerous awards for my work, from UK associations and worldwide photographic associations. In 2016 & 2019 I was named by the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) as the UK’s Best Reportage Wedding Photographer, coming 11th and 9th worldwide. For the past 5 years, I have featured in their Top 50 Best Wedding Photojournalists in the World, and have more WPJA awards to date than any other UK wedding photographer.
In 2022 I was awarded Wedding Photographer of the Year by the prestigious worldwide organisation, Masters of Wedding Photography. This Is Reportage listed me as one of the Top 100 Wedding Photographers in the World in 2020, 2021, and 2022. I am one of just 20 UK Wedding Photographers to be included on the World’s Best Wedding Photos directory. Enough of the trumpet blowing, on with the photos!

We are so pleased with our wedding pictures by Lyndsey. She’s captured every moment and the mood of the day perfectly, and all done very discreetly and without you hardly noticing she’s there. We wanted reportage wedding photography as we really didn’t want staged shots. Lyndsey’s photos provide a very natural, storyboard for the day, with all sorts of unexpected charming, romantic and funny moments we wouldn’t otherwise have remembered. She has a great talent for capturing movement and creating pathos, somehow harnessing the light and getting it to shine on all the most important people and parts of the pictures. Beautiful!
