Santorini Wedding Photography
Possibly my most intimate destination wedding to date, Ellie & Niko travelled from Australia to host their Santorini wedding with just 13 guests. I joined them for two days to document the celebrations. The first was a hazy dream-like day spent swimming in hot volcanic springs, basking in the sun, and sailing around the island, whilst day two started with a church blessing followed by an intimate dinner at their villa.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Church of Agios Gerasimos, a tiny and remote Orthodox chapel perched high up on a cliff top, and was conducted entirely in Ancient Greek. It felt quite magical being so high up and witnessing something so sacred and beautiful.
Back down the windy, dusty road and on to dinner at their villa, with speeches, shots, singing, a magnificent sunset, dancing, and some midnight swimming. An absolute privilege to photograph such an intimate couple of days. All suppliers are linked at the end of the post, and if you’re looking for a Santorini wedding photographer, my passport is up to date and ready for a new stamp so get in touch

Life’s not perfect (and neither are weddings), but it’s easy to fall into the algorithm-driven trap of wanting your wedding photos to project an image of perfection, rather than reflect who you truly are. We adore our photos because they are authentic rather than engineered, and personal rather than performative. They have soul.

We’d searched far and wide for a photographer who combines truthful storytelling with artistic beauty, and knew Lyndsey was our woman as soon as we saw her work: timeless, yet cliché-free; interesting and unique, yet classic and beyond trends.

Our photos are art inspired by life. Each image captures a real moment – some sublime, some mundane, some funny, and some awkward. Together, they tell our story. They take us back to the energy of our wedding and express the full spectrum of emotions we, and our guests, felt.

We can’t quite believe that these stunning, and quite frankly, pretty darn cool, photos are ours! We are delighted to have hired you. We now have a collection of art that we will enjoy forever. Each image is inspired by real life, rather than engineered as a performance, which is precisely what we wanted. They’re all timeless, yet cliche-free; interesting and unique, yet classic and beyond all trends.
