All the colour and all the confetti for today’s post; Ruth & Liam and their spring wedding at Stoke Newington Town Hall and the Coin Laundry on Exmouth Market.
My first wedding at Coin Laundry on Exmouth Market; a great reception venue for a London town hall wedding. It has a gorgeous ground floor dining room filled with light and a basement bar for the party. The decor is quite 70’s mixed with some classic Victorian detailing, including those beautiful glazed tiles that so many London pubs have. Ruth & Liam had their ceremony at my favourite London Town Hall, the art deco gem Stoke Newington. Ruth’s bridesmaids wore gorgeous bright orange and coral dresses, and her talented friend, Amy, made some bouquets in matching colours.
Ruth & Liam win the award for ‘most confetti at a wedding’. As they exited the town hall, it just kept coming til they were completely lost in this cloud of fluttering, colourful paper. A quick pet of the family dogs, and it was all aboard a Routemaster, with Champagne and Ruth’s mum’s homemade cheese straws, for the journey to the pub.
After some nibbles and drinks in the downstairs bar, it was on to dinner and some very emotional speeches, Espresso martinis provided the refuelling, then it was back downstairs to party.
