St Peter Ad Vincula Royal Chapel Wedding

Annabel & Rob had their wedding at St Peter ad Vincula, the Royal Chapel, otherwise known as the chapel at the Tower Of London. Steeped in history, it’s the final resting place of Anne Boleyn, Catherine Howard, Lady Jane Grey & Sir Thomas More. It’s a very pretty little church, and the man in charge is the affable Canon Roger Hall MBE, who I last saw at another wedding over 5 years ago when he had his leg in plaster and conducted that ceremony on crutches.
Annabel, along with her daughter and a whole troop of little flower girls, got ready at a nearby hotel. She arrived at St Peter ad Vincula in Rob’s prized baby blue 1964 Gordon Keeble, which Rob had entrusted to his father-in-law-to-be for the morning. Following the ceremony and the signing of the register (which is always so exciting at this chapel – photographers are not allowed in the church for the ceremony, so you get ushered through the crypt by one of the Yeoman Warders for the signing), I also got a ride in Rob’s prized car as we headed over to Trinity House across the road from the Tower of London. Champagne, canapés and confetti then it was time for dinner, speeches, cakes and dancing.
Weddings at Trinity House run like clockwork, due to the brilliant Zoe and her team, and it’s always a pleasure to work there.
