Old Finsbury Town Hall Wedding // Dee & David
An Old Finsbury Town Hall wedding on the blog today. This grade II listed building is situated in Clerkenwell and features a stunning Art Deco entrance, amazing art nouveau decor, majestic stained glass windows and an ornate Baroque ceiling. It’s safe to say that it’s a pretty special location for a London town hall wedding. Dee and David held their entire wedding there, with a ceremony in the council chamber and reception in the Great Hall. Dee got ready nearby, along with her bridesmaids, bridesman and mum. She wore a beautiful antique lace dress which matched the venue perfectly.
Once everyone was ready, we took a quick cab ride up to the The Wilmington, a pub which is handily located opposite the town hall, where David, his usher’s and his dad were sinking some pre wedding pints. On to the ceremony at the town hall, which was full of smiles and laughter, and a young guest having a nap in the aisle mid ceremony – this little lady was one of my favourite wedding guests of all time. A quick group photo outside, which was inadvertently photobombed by a man on his bike, and then back upstairs for champagne and canapés in the council chamber. Dinner was served in the Great Hall, and interspersed by speeches, before a mass exodus to the frankly amazing dessert table. If you’ve never seen wedding guests fight over the last shot glass of passion fruit lemon posset, consider yourself lucky….!
A little number penned by the groom and performed for his new wife had everyone whooping and cheering and swaying to the music. After that it was time to cut the naked cake and get ready to party. A great day with Dee & David and their families and friends, favourites from their Old Finsbury Town Hall wedding are below.

Love the shot of the guy riding by on the bike, Lyndsey!
