Lambeth Town Hall Wedding
Lambeth Town Hall, in the heart of Brixton, is another example of Edwardian Baroque architecture (Woolwich being another). On a busy junction with the Ritzy Cinema, MacDonalds and Burger King as it’s neighbours, this building stands out for all the right reasons. You wouldn’t realise it from the Brixton Hill entrance, but Lambeth Town Hall has a whopping 8 rooms to choose from for your wedding. You can choose to hold just your ceremony there or the whole event. Its south London location means it’s great choice for just the ceremony before heading off to reception venues such as 100 Barrington or Balham Bowls Club.
Lambeth Town Hall, also known as Brixton Town Hall, has recently undergone a huge refurb. It’s all sparkly and new, whilst still retaining many of the features this Grade II listed building is known for. It was built in 1908 and opened by King George V and Queen Mary, who were the Prince & Princess of Wales at the time. So that’s a little history lesson, let’s look at why you might consider Lambeth Town Hall for your wedding.
