Kew Gardens Wedding // Dee & Mark
A Kew Gardens wedding in an awe inspiring wedding venue, set in acres of lush green gardens with unique buildings in which to hold the various parts of the day. Dilveer and Mark opted to hold their ceremony in the stunning Nash Conservatory, with a drinks reception in the Prince of Wales Conservatory, followed by dinner in The Orangery. The day started with Dee, her bridesmaids and family getting ready at the home she shares with Mark in Angel, with makeup and hair expertly carried out by Becky of Beaudoir. Befitting of her Indian roots, Dee’s wedding dress was bright red, and she looked incredible in it. Although Mark had rather taken to the idea of the Indian tradition of the bride arriving at the ceremony on a horse, Dee made it clear she would not be doing so. Mark quite happily reversed the roles and arrived on a beautiful white horse, resplendent with head dress and glittery red hooves (the horse, not Mark). Divine. The ceremony was conducted by humanist wedding celebrant Zena Birch. It is the first time I have seen Zena is action, and it was the most personal, humorous and unique ceremony I have had the pleasure of photographing. The couple then stepped out into the sunshine and took to the horse (Mark again) to head over to the Prince of Wales Conservatory for drinks in amongst the tropical plants. The wedding party then moved on to The Orangery for dinner. This was followed by speeches, plenty of cake, more champagne and some energetic dancing. Congratulations to Dee and Mark!
