Balham Bowls Club Wedding Photos

Becky & Lewis’s Balham Bowls Club wedding took place on a hot and sultry Friday afternoon in May 22. Becky got ready at her family home before heading over to Lambeth Town Hall for the ceremony. Short and sweet, with tears (mostly Lewis’s) and laughter, it was a really lovely ceremony. I hadn’t been to Lambeth town Hall for a few years and was really impressed by the huge refurb it’s had.

I joined the guests on a Routemaster to Balham Bowls Club. Perhaps misleadingly, it’s not actually a bowls club, but a great pub with a back garden and huge upstairs dining room. With faded wallpaper, ceiling windows flooding the room with light, and huge, twinkling antique chandeliers, it’s a great location for a wedding reception, with a feeling of relaxed grandeur.

Speeches, canapés, and cocktails in the back garden before dinner upstairs with more speeches, cake, and dancing. A great day with Becky and Lewis and their gang, full of colour and laughter, some favourites are below.

  1. I love these Lyndsey, Quite often I look at ‘documentary’ work and only see the dramatic or bits I’m sure the couple are embarrassed by. These photos show the pure joy of a wedding. You’ve inspired me to stay wide more often, I love your approach… ps I see you! Love the easter egg of you in the mirror

    1. Thanks for your comment, Nathan! I’m glad that I’ve inspired you. Hoping that ‘easter egg’ is a typo for ‘selfie’, but yes, there I am 😉
