This laid back London wedding at The Master Shipwright’s House in Deptford took place on the longest – and hottest – day of 2025. The vibe for the day was informal, colourful, and focused on good food and good music. A ceremony by the river, led by a friend, followed by canapés and charcuterie (a nod to Alice’s French father) and drinks under the shade of the trees before dinner in the stretch tent. The evening music was provided by friends and family, with Ali the groom on drums and a surprise turn from his dad, who had learned guitar specially for the wedding. As the heat of the day subsided, everyone gravitated to the river to get what little breeze there was. A few favourites from this riverside wedding venue in London then dive into the main post, a mix of mostly digital with a few 35mm film shots.
I can’t stop looking at the pictures. They are perfect – thank you so much. Everyone we speak to has said the photos are stunning, I personally love seeing who was chatting to who on the day. You captured those little pockets so well.

Master Shipwright’s House Wedding
The Master Shipwright’s House is located on Watergate Street in Deptford SE8. It’s a privately owned house, and is the oldest surviving building from the historic Royal Dockyard. This incredible grade II listed building is hired out for shoots, filming, and the occasional wedding. Currently on the market with Rightmove for a cool 8 million, and I hope whoever buys it continues to host weddings there as I’d go as far to say it’s one of my favourite places in London to document a wedding.
