STUBTON HALL WEDDINGS // LIZZIE & BRETT
Stubton Hall weddings are glorious; whatever season they take place in, the venue manages to be perfectly suited. Set in acres of lush grounds, the hall has a multitude of different rooms all with a very different feel to them, from The Chocolate Bar with its rich, dark walls and deep, comfortable sofas to The Music Room with white walls, light wooden floor floor and floor to ceiling windows at each end, not to mention the grand staircase, with gilt frames and dark grey walls. Stubton Hall wedding photography is something I’m very familiar with having shot weddings here in the months of February, April and May. Lizzie & Brett’s was my first summer wedding at Stubton, and was on a warm day in August 2015.
Lizzie got ready with her bridesmaids in the beautifully decorated green room that looks out onto the back terrace. A great place to peek out of the window at the guests arriving whilst getting your hair and makeup done. On to the ceremony, the excited bride and nervous groom saw each other for the first time and both immediately relaxed. After the marriage register was signed, there was Champagne, confetti, Pimms and some canapés on the terrace before dinner and speeches in The Orangery.
With it being summer, the evening remained warm and half the wedding party were keen to hit the dance floor whilst the other half seemed quite content to chat outside and make the most of the wood fired pizza and the ice-cream van (the pizza was unbelievably good.) The kids particularly enjoyed themselves; dirty feet and knees from the dance floor action and all the ice-cream they could eat. Winner. Lizzie and Brett are a super chilled out couple and this was reflected in their day. There was no stress, no drama, simply good friends and family having a thoroughly lovely day.
