BRICK LANE MUSIC HALL WEDDING // KATE & LUKE
A Brick Lane Music Hall wedding on the blog today and Kate and Luke’s 2011 wedding. The music hall, surprisingly nowhere near Brick Lane, is probably London’s coolest, quirkiest and downright delightful wedding venue. The day started with champagne at home (Kate) and beers in the local pub (Luke), before a somewhat terrifying journey across London in Kate’s mum’s old green Morris Minor, lovingly buffed to a shine and decked out in ribbons for the day. Their wedding fell on the same day as the London Triathlon, so the route to the venue had to be planned with military precision and expert map reading by bridesmaid Laura. After a show stopping entrance, Kate and Luke were married on the stage in front of their closest family and friends, before champagne and canapes were enjoyed outside, and a magician entertained the guests. After a twinkly dinner in the amazing hall and some hilarious speeches, the dance floor was opened; Kate and Luke had to clear the floor for their first dance as it was already packed with people shaking their tail feathers. A special thanks go to the amazing staff at the music hall, especially Oliver the lighting technician! Some favourite photographs from Kate and Luke’s theatrical Brick Lane Music Hall wedding are below.
