Best of 2024

best wedding photographers

2024 is done and dusted and so it’s time for my annual favourites post. I first started doing these collections back in 2012. 13 years of Best Of wedding photography posts! 13 years of procrastinating, deliberating, and wishing I’d gotten into a better system of tagging my favourite photos throughout the year so I didn’t have to leave it all to one mammoth task at the end of the year!

24 couples, 26 weddings, 4 countries, and over 13,000 images to go through. So thankful for my wonderful couples. Getting to know you and being invited into your inner circle on one of the most important days of your lives is such a privilege.

If you want to know more about how the year went, the places I visited, and the exciting new option I can offer for a limited amount of weddings in 2025 and beyond head here, but for now, on with the show!

We are sat here in LA, on our first day together since we were married, both of us in floods of tears. You absolutely smashed that out the park. The care and attention, the magical moments, we cried, we laughed out loud (mostly at my two dog sh*t cousins being absolutely no help in the house), that was more special and perfect than I ever dreamed! Thank you so, so much. Enormous thanks, both for your incredible work on the day,  the care with which you have managed this process, and all our beautiful images. I really can’t get over them.

There are no words to quite describe how special and magical the photos are. She managed to capture the true feeling of the day – they’re fun, gorgeous, funny, beautiful and hilarious.

We loved her use of humour, composition, light and storytelling. Her photos are works of art, and yet don’t take themselves too seriously.

Hello again…

I hope you enjoyed going through the photos, but if you came straight here to read more then make sure you go back to the top afterwards!

2024 was another year chock-full of amazing people and places. More rain than you could shake a stick at. Rain where you’d expect it (Wales, I’m looking at you) and where you wouldn’t (the height of summer and the eye of a storm in southern France). 2024 was also the year that my super talented husband added video and super 8 to his repertoire. Working together more has been a plan of ours for a while, and we have had the most incredible feedback from the couples whose weddings we have documented together this past year in London, Wales, France, Dorset, and Sussex.

2024 was also my first full year of shooting on a new camera system with the Lumix S5II. I made the switch after more than 20 years shooting with Canon. If you want, you can read more about my move from Canon to Lumix Panasonic and find out why I jumped ship.

I had a place on some of the Best Wedding Photographers of 2024 lists, namely Fearless Photographers, WPJA, This Is Reportage, and Photographers Keeping it Real. I was also a judge, for the 4th consecutive year, for the prestigious Wedding Industry Awards, or TWIA as it’s known. I was the national winner for Best Wedding Photographer for TWIA back in 2017, but it’s so nice to be on the other side!

I’m excited for 2025. I’ll be working at some of my favourite venues (Wilton’s, TBW, Barbican, Elmley and 100 Barrington to name a few) as well as some pretty incredible 3 day weddings both here in the UK and abroad.

It’s been 21 years since I photographed my first wedding, 16 years since I started my business, and I still absolutely love what I do. If you’re looking for an experienced, unobtrusive photographer to document your wedding, I’d love to hear from you.

It’s also a very graceful wedding guest in flight, about to belly flop into the pool. Captured by Stephen, my husband, at a wedding in the south of France. He makes beautiful, narrative driven films that complement my unobtrusive approach and documentary style perfectly. Get in touch to see some films and discuss adding video or super-8 to your package.

Shooting with a super 8 film camera that’s even older than he is. Making honest, documentary wedding films on either digital or film cameras, his style and approach complements my photography perfectly. Get in touch if you’d like us both to document your wedding, whether you are already booked in with me or just starting out on your search for wedding photography and wedding films.

  1. What a collection – I will never tire of seeing the world through your eyes, dude. Excited to see what you come up with this year, it sounds like it’s gonna be another banger!

  2. So many belters in here. Standard for you. My faves: wet boob, little hands giving a hug, face on the plate, pasta face, and four hands doing up the dress. I could go on. Sensational stuff.
