Victoria & Alex’s Wedding in the South of France

Back in the summer of 2019, I travelled to the south of France to photograph Victoria, AKA InTheFrow, and Alex’s epic and yet intimate wedding. Despite them celebrating their 3 year anniversary this week, I am only just getting round to sharing their incredible wedding, such is my inability to blog with any regularity. Nestled in the quiet countryside at the impressive Chateau Du Bijou, the InTheFrow wedding weekend was made up of 3 very special days. Firstly, there was a black & white themed drinks reception on the Friday night, with welcome speeches, delicious food, and amazing music by the talented pianist and singer, James Bradshaw. Saturday started off with a picnic and pool party, with the wedding ceremony and dinner taking place in the late afternoon and evening. Finally, Sunday was a chilled day with brunch and goodbyes, and possibly a few hangovers, too.

Victoria’s brother, also called Alex, performed the outdoor ceremony for them, and he did a stellar job. It was funny, personal, and meaningful. If Alex is ever on the hunt for a new career, he’d definitely make a great celebrant. Following a good shower of confetti, there were drinks and live music to enjoy before dinner on the chateau’s terrace. Dusk fell and candles were lit – it was a really beautiful scene.

Shortly before the party kicked off, Victoria got changed into another amazing Phillipa Lepley dress more suited to dancing. Despite us being in the south of France in the height of summer, there was a heavy rainstorm during the speeches and the evening dancing. Nobody cared; there is something very liberating and exhilarating about dancing in the rain under the stars! (my non-weather sealed cameras would probably disagree). The party continued well into the night and was tons of fun.

The photos here are all documentary photos, bar a couple of portraits. The InTheFrow wedding was featured extensively in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Hitched, Harper’s Bazaar, Love My Dress, as well as a vlog on Victoria’s YouTube channel. I will include links to all of these at the end of the post. The styling, decor, and florals were particularly stunning, and definitely worth swooning over, but I am all about the people and the moments, so that’s what I am showing here.

Victoria & Alex’s French Chateau wedding was a whole heap of fun. They are a laid back and loved up couple with lovely families and friends. The setting couldn’t have been prettier and the vibe couldn’t have been more relaxed. If you’re planning your wedding and like my documentary style, please do get in touch
