Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding Photographer // Vanina & Vinay

Not my first time as a Trinity Buoy Wharf wedding photographer, and hopefully not my last, Vanina & Vinay’s two day London wedding was a riot of fun, food, colour and dance. They got married over the course of a chilly weekend in September 2016, kicking off with a church wedding at St Mark’s in Primrose Hill. A relaxed afternoon with a little party in the church grounds after the ceremony, with pizza for everyone courtesy of the wonderful Well Kneaded and their cute little pizza van, and plenty of cake. Afterwards there was a dinner at nearby Limona for Vinay and family and a henna party at the Zetter Hotel for Vanina and her friends.

Sunday started with a boat trip down the Thames with a dhol drummer and dancing on board before the boat arrived at Trinity Buoy Wharf and the baraat procession of Vinay and his family onto dry land. The couple exchanged garlands and the traditional Hindu ceremony then took place, both indoors and outdoors, and in between there was hot chai and delicious Indian streetfood – my favourite! The day continued with more amazing food, a Bhangra performance by the super energetic Lok Nach Bhangra and an outdoor ice cream truck provided by Whipsmiths to fuel the late night munchies.
