Bank Holidays in the UK tend to promise one thing; the weather won’t play ball. For Jo and Simon’s Sands Hotel wedding, we had some sun, some rain and plenty of wind. Non of this mattered though, as all the celebrations were taking place under the chandeliered ceilings of The Sands Hotel. Once a Victorian gem on Margate’s sea front, the hotel has undergone an extensive renovation to restore it to its former glory. Jo and Simon both got ready at the hotel, and as they had booked the entire place for the weekend, family and friends got ready there too and gathered in the bar for a few drinks before the ceremony. Makeup was taken care of by Lucy Jayne make up , and dressed in a gorgeous Jenny Packham number, Jo looked amazing. After a ceremony overlooking the sea, there was champagne, canapés, and a trip to the (windy) seafront for some pics. Back inside for dinner and speeches, and the party. And boy, did they party.
