Number 1 UK Wedding Photojournalist // WPJA
I’m so happy to have been ranked as the Number 1 UK Wedding Photojournalist of 2019 – and 9th in the world – by the Wedding Photojournalist Association. This is the second time I have been awarded the title of the Best Wedding Photographer in the UK by the WPJA, having also won the title in 2016. That year I was ranked 11th worldwide. To be given this accolade within the industry is a massive honour. When I was first accepted into the WPJA ten years ago, I never imagined that I would be ranked not once, but twice, as their best wedding photographer in UKW. Below are the 24 images which won an award during the 2019 contests, and secured me a place on the WPJA’s list of the Top International Wedding Photographers for 2019.
The images below were all taken at weddings I photographed in 2019. Below each photo, I’ve noted what each image depicts, when and where it was taken. All photos were taken on Canon 5D mark IV cameras.
Thank you to the WPJA judges – all notable and respected working newspaper photojournalists and picture editors in the news industry – for awarding these images. As always, a huge thank you to my couples, their families and friends for giving me total free reign and trusting me to tell their stories with honesty, authenticity, and humour.
