Weddings at The Camberwell Arms

The Camberwell Arms is a great pub for your a south London wedding. Here are just a few of the reasons why:

  • Great south London location, The Camberwell Arms is ideally situated for wedding ceremonies at Southwark registry office, Lambeth Town Hall, Battersea Arts, and The Asylum Chapel.
  • Option of using just the top floor for a more intimate wedding or hire the whole pub and have the top floor and the ground floor.
  • Incredible food. Anyone who has eaten there will know just how delicious the food is at The Camberwell Arms. Delicious, seasonal food, served family style as sharing platters, as well as yummy canapés during the drinks reception.
  • Laid back, friendly staff making for a really informal vibe.
  • Abundance of natural light in both rooms.
  • Gorgeous artworks on the walls and original architectural features means you need to do very little to style it.

A South London neighbourhood pub with award winning food. Set over two floors with an abundance of natural light & quirky artwork. Seasonal ingredients and family style sharing plates are served up by a friendly and efficient team, alongside excellent wines and cocktails. An ideal venue for a laid back celebration.

The Camberwell Arms is an independent local pub in the heart of Camberwell. Renowned for its eclectic and seasonal cooking, with an unpretentious vibe, a fantastic wine list, and killer cocktails.

I’m a big fan of a laid back “town hall and a pub” type wedding, and The Camberwell Arms does it really well. There are ample local venues for your ceremony, such as Lambeth Town Hall, or Southwark Registry Office which is walkable but has limited capacity so only really suitable for a small wedding. If the idea of walking to the reception appeals to you, there’s always the option of having just family and close friends at the ceremony and getting everyone else to meet you at the pub for drinks, lunch or dinner, and dancing.

LYNDSEY!!! These shots are absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to get them framed. Thank you so much for spending the day with us, we had such a great time.

Gobini & Pres, entire pub hire at The Camberwell Arms, July 2025

Dear Lyndsey and Stephen,
Thank you soooo much for sending over the photos + video. They’re incredible!

Really brought back all the memories and emotions of the day (which felt like a distant memory so soon after the day). Lots of moments that made us laugh out loud and also cry (on my part of course).

We also had a little screening of the video for my family yesterday as we were with them and they also loved it! It’s a work of art.

Very grateful and it was the best decision working with both of you.

Tash & James, married at Southwark Registry Office and reception at The Camberwell Arms, April 2025

For honest, narrative driven films, made discreetly with minimal equipment, I work alongside my husband, Stephen. An experienced documentary wedding photographer, he reserves a limited amount of dates each year to work alongside me for couples who want both documentary photography and video coverage. You can see the film he made for Tash and James’ wedding at The Camberwell Arms here.

Lyndsey captured the day perfectly – from the subtle scenes that no one else noticed, to all of the major moments like vows, speeches and entrances. One of the biggest compliments we can pay her is that we realised when looking through the photos that we had barely noticed her during the day – she seemed to know where to be at all times without drawing attention. As a couple who appreciate an artistic and sideways look traditional situations, Lyndsey’s honest, humorous and considerate style was perfect and we absolutely love what she was able to capture.
