Wedding photos and film from an intimate wedding at Chateau de Cazenac, known as ‘The Fairytale Chateau’, in the beautiful Dordogne. Childhood sweethearts Liv & Cal travelled from USA with 46 of their closest family and friends to celebrate their love at this gorgeous wedding venue in the south of France. They kicked things off with a pizza and murder mystery party on the Friday night, which took place on the chateau’s lawns in 30+ degree heat. After an evening of feasting and finding out ‘whodunnit’, everyone cooled off in the pool. On to Saturday and the main event….

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at the Fairytale Chateau de Cazenac France
The wedding day itself started cloudy with every weather app warning us an almighty storm was heading our way. It was decided the outdoor wedding ceremony would be brought earlier in the hope of missing the worst of the rain. The storm clouds were gathering as everyone made their way outside ready for the ceremony which would be held by the couple’s family pastor. It rained. It rained hard! Pastor Mike’s notes disintegrated but, like troopers, they didn’t run for cover indoors, but stood in the pouring rain, only having eyes for each other, exchanging their personal vows.
Back into the chateau, guests wrung out their clothes, Liv’s beautiful dress was dried with a hairdryer, Champagne was enjoyed whilst the string quartet played. Amazingly, the sun poked through the clouds and like moths to a flame, everyone headed outside to bask in it. After dinner and speeches it was on to the party and, ultimately, a midnight exodus to the pool.
The videographer on this wedding was my husband, Stephen, who has the same unobtrusive and documentary approach as myself.

Destination Wedding Photography and Videography
If you’re planning a destination wedding and looking for a documentary wedding photographer I’d love to hear from you. My style is unobtrusive and hands-off, meaning the photos will be an authentic representation of the day, rather than something created ‘for the camera’. If you’re looking for a wedding videographer and want the same documentary approach, I work alongside my husband, Stephen Bunn. He creates emotive films which lean in to the couples’ personality and the vibe of the day, rather than creating cookie-cutter films which are not authentic to the couple.
