It opened in 1843 as Battersea Town Hall and became a community arts centre in 1974. A huge fire in 2015 caused severe structural damage. Following a huge refurb and rebuilding of the Grand Hall, they opened for weddings in 2019 and it’s been a hugely popular choice for many couples getting married in south London ever since.

- How much does it cost to get married at Battersea Arts Centre? Between £9500 – £13,750
- What is the capacity? 350 for dinner, and if you’ve got a really big guest list, you can have a standing reception for up to 800. But seriously, who knows that many people?!
- Can we legally get married at Battersea Arts Centre? Yes, a registrar from Wandsworth Town Council can marry you. You can also have a celebrant led ceremony or marry in a local church and just have your reception there.
- They have a wide range of approved caterers, including Asian, Kosher, Halal, and vegan catering.
- You can have your pets attend. Fido can go to the ball.
- There’s disabled access.
- Access to an in-house planner

Nearest train station is Clapham Junction. Local parking is limited, and, quite rightly, the venue encourages visitors to use public transport as part of their goal to improve their environmental sustainability. If you’re hiring a Routemaster, it can stop just a few yards away from the main entrance.
