Newland Hall Wedding // Frankie & Shaun
Newland Hall in Essex is a lovely venue for a wedding, having the option of an outdoor ceremony, a marquee for the wedding breakfast and a lovely garden for the drinks reception. Frankie and Shaun had chosen Newland Hall for their wedding earlier this summer, and asked me to go along to photograph the day. Frankie got ready at the nearby Pontlands Park Hotel alongside her bridesmaids and Shaun’s family. The girls had their make up done by the talented Olivia Sandy, and hair was expertly coiffed by the brilliant Rachelle at Yo-Yo hair. Frankie’s bridesmaids had long flowing dresses in a fresh spring green colour, and Frankie herself looked a picture of timeless elegance in a lace Maggie Sottero dress. All the girls carried pretty bouquets tied with antique lace. On arrival at Newland Hall, the guests were sat outside enjoying the warmth from blazing sun and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Under the gazebo, Shaun waited with his best man for Frankie to arrive, walked down the aisle on the arm of her father. The ceremony got under way, and with vows the couple had written to each other, was emotional, tender and sincere. The afternoon continued with champagne and laughter, before dinner and speeches. Shaun is well known for his poetry, and had written a poem for his new bride. I was certainly not the only person with a lump in my throat as he read it to her. The rest of the afternoon was spent enjoying the glorious weather in the gardens. A day filled with love and laughter, and the most genuine, big hearted and committed couple you could hope to meet, Frankie and Shaun’s Newland Hall wedding was really wonderful to be part of.
