Upper Court Wedding // Guillia & James
Upper Court in Kemerton, Gloucestershire is a stunning wedding venue. With the exclusive use of a huge old house, pretty cottages and a beautiful church at the end of the garden, it was the perfect spot for Guillia and James’s wedding this summer. The day started with Guillia and her bridesmaids getting ready in the house (styling hair, applying makeup, drinking cups of tea, ironing dresses…) whilst the boys got ready in the Dovecote (necking champagne), before the ceremony in the church. The couple were married by Guillia’s uncle which made it all the more personal and special to the couple. Not many weddings this summer have been afforded the luxury of blue skies and warm weather, but we had both in spades this day, and canapés, champagne and a wheelbarrow full of ice cold Peroni sated the appetites and quenched the thirst of the guests. Late afternoon, and everyone headed in to the marquee overlooking the lake for dinner. Speeches followed, then the band got underway and the dance floor soon filled. By now the sky was an apocalyptic shade of mustard; a stunning sunset combined with heavy grey rainclouds. The torrential rain that followed went largely unnoticed as everyone was too busy dancing and having themselves a grand old time. Great couple, great wedding, some favourites are below

Posted at 13:52h, 20 SeptemberLyndsey, this is a quality set of images. As someone who has recently shot a wedding at Upper Court it is interesting to see another take on it. Too many favourites but the girl on the rocking horse and the earlier marquee shots are brilliant.
