The Belvedere Wedding Photography // India & Karim
A London wedding with a Scottish bride and a Lebanese/Swedish groom: a mixture of great cultures and heritage in a very cosmopolitan city. The day started with India slipping into her Roland Mouret dress and hotfooting it to St Columba’s Church in Knightsbridge where Karim was waiting. After the ceremony the couple were pelted with rice, as is the tradition, before climbing aboard Routemasters which took everybody to the elegant Belvedere in Holland Park, dating back to the 17th century when it was the summer ballroom to the Jacobsen mansion that was Holland House . Canapés on the balcony were followed by speeches and some serenading before everyone took their seats for dinner, place names being marked by a Polaroid of each guest, taken over the years. After dinner, guests headed into the conservatory for cocktails and to watch the couple cut their cake, a magnificent towering creation from ChoccyWoccyDooDah, whilst listening to a Mariachi band. Shortly after, a Céilidh band struck up and everyone took to the floor, kilts and Jimmy Choos flying left right and centre. Great day, great couple, some favourites from India and Karim’s London wedding are below

Posted at 10:33h, 29 JulyReally like this. Really well lit Lyndsey. I think every shot of the bride was of her laughing away, which is great. What is it with you and Wedding Buses though? 🙂 x
