BAFTA 195 & Chelsea Old Town Hall Wedding // Andie & Simon
Chelsea Old Town hall and BAFTA 195 – two iconic London venues, two insanely beautiful people; Andie and Simon’s wedding was always going to be a great day. Add to it one stunning Monique Lhuillier dress, a champagne fuelled bus trip and a crowd of the most wonderful friends and family a couple could wish for, and you have their late October wedding in a nutshell. The day started at the couple’s south west London flat, with hair and makeup and frequent tears from Andie. Everyone from her dad to her best friend made her cry, just by being there – this bride was one adorable ball of emotion right from the get-go. A short black cab ride later and we were at Chelsea Old Town Hall, home to the registry office which has seen many famous couples say “I do”. The ceremony took place in the small hall, a lovely room bathed in light. Confetti followed on the steps outside before a Routemaster took everyone on a detour around London so the party could get started with champagne, and the removal of some road blocks which led to our groom and a policeman having some words. Things quickly smoothed over, we were on our way to BAFTA 195 where a drinks reception and movie theme was, fittingly for the location, the order of the day. We ventured out onto the streets of London for some portraits, where I captured one of my favourite wedding images of 2014, Andie & Simon reflected in the shiny corrugated steel of a nearby building site. Back at BAFTA 195 , dinner was served before the room fell quiet for the speeches. Andie’s father spoke, before we heard from the groom, his brother and Andie’s best friend (cue more tears from Andie). The couple cut the cake and bust some moves to Michael Jackson to get the dance floor opened. Favourites from this gorgeous couple’s BAFTA 195 wedding are below.
