Wedding Photography in Lincoln – Lindsay and David
I love the opportunity to visit historic Lincoln with its beautiful cathedral and cobbled Roman streets. The fact that my family live there and so I can combine work with seeing them and giving my 3 year old nephew a massive cuddle is a bonus. Lindsay and David live in London, but decided to hold their wedding in Lincoln as it is where Lindsay grew up. On a sunny Friday in August, Lindsay and her bridesmaids got ready in the stunning White Hart Hotel, who’s most famous guest must be Tom Hanks ( who called it home whilst filming The Da Vinci Code). The excitement levels in the room were high as the girls quaffed champagne and cheered on our Olympic athletes who were taking golds left, right and centre. The ceremony was held a few miles away in Nettleham church, and then it was back into the Bailgate for the reception, held at The Assembly Rooms. After suitable amounts of champagne had been quaffed, dinner was served. The Olympic Games theme was strong, with tables being names after the games; not so random as the newlyweds surname is Games; cue stories of their friends phoning them up during the opening ceremony; ”Can we speak to The Games during the games?” Oh, how they laughed…. Back to the wedding; dinner was followed by speeches, which were followed by drinking and dancing. All in all, everything a winning wedding should be and a great day for The Games (sorry, I’ll stop now)
